Looking to the Future

I am probably overly ambitious, but I have all these ideas for things we can do here at the bookstore. I want to see regular events beyond just story time and music time. We’ve already started recruiting young customers for a program where they’ll read and review advance reader copies of upcoming books. We’ll probably actively start that sometime in April. If you know an independent reader between the ages of seven and seventeen who might be interested, leave your information here:

So, what else? Here are some ideas I’ve had and I’d love to find out if any of this sounds interesting to you.

  • A book group for adults who read Young Adult novels.
  • A mother-daughter book club.
  • Specialty book groups for reading level and/or subject (Middle Grade, graphic novels, realistic teen, etc.).

What sounds interesting to you? What other regular events would you like to see? We’re open to any suggestions you may have. We want to do things that you’re excited about, otherwise, where’s the fun?
